Control 2.0 - New operator panels
The performance of machining centers is determined, among other things, by the potential of the control. The SIMATIC IFP Industrial Flat Panels are outstandingly suitable as industrial monitors with rapid response times for real-time image updating. Effective immediately, the MILLTURN controls will be installed with an innovative multitouch version with a widescreen front of 24 inches in the 16: 9 format and Full HD (1920 x 1080).

The advantages of the new industrial monitor include above all a sleek housing (low mounting depth), a glass front including operator controls and a slim frame. The operator benefits of a high level of operating comfort by single and multi-touch operation. In addition, the monitors are economical and "ready to work" equipped: fast commissioning and cost saving with standard plugs, externally installed USB interface, service door and the space-saving design are some of the key features. Finally, the monitors are all-round IP65-protected, which means a protection against water and dust.
New operator panels
The new control panels for the small machines can be swiveled around the vertical axis, with tilt adjustment for the screen (15°).
From the M40 model series, the operator panel can be swiveled up to 105° on the vertical axis. In addition, it is height-adjustable (220 mm) and has a tilt adjustment for the screen of 15°.
At this year's EMO in Hannover, some of the WFL machines will already be presented with the new screens and operator panels.
