The new exhibition area in the Millturn Innovation Center Linz features the top-equipped machines: an M35-G MILLTURN with automation, an M20-G MILLTURN, an M50 MILLTURN and an M80X MILLTURN. The exhibition area is complemented by around 30 different workpieces, ranging from landing gears to helicopter rotors, compressor rotors and turbine blades.

We have installed a ceiling sail above the TECtalk studio, which provides a uniform and pleasant sound system for the entire innovation center. Two oversized pictures on the walls bring the Millturn Innovation Center to life and underline the atmosphere. The interplay of modern materials, innovative acoustic solutions and inspiring wall design creates an environment in which ideas can develop freely and pioneering projects can emerge.
MILLTURNs experience
The Millturn Innovation Center's automated cell, featuring an articulated arm robot working in tandem with an M35-G MILLTURN, is a standout feature. This offers numerous advantages that contribute to increasing efficiency and improving quality in the manufacturing industry. The integration of an articulated robot on an M35-G MILLTURN is a forward-looking investment that helps companies to remain competitive and meet the challenges of a modern manufacturing world.
The robot cell is designed for the automated loading of the M35-G MILLTURN with two pallet spaces for shafts and chuck parts and a grid pallet. It is equipped with a 2D camera for correct part detection on the universal grid pallet, integrated length measurement of the raw parts and an automatic gripper change between servo, yoke and chuck part grippers for handling chuck and shaft parts. The automatic clamping jaw change using a robot on the main spindle and the interface to the HSK-63 tool handling system enable flexible, reliable and unmanned operation across different component geometries. In addition, the cell was equipped with a Light host computer on the software side, which can map all interfaces to the customer and, for example, can also take over tool management within the automated cell.
The M20 MILLTURN's innovative and modern design is a game-changer. Its high stability and integrated motor-spindle concept make it a highly versatile machine, able to handle practically any machining technology. The M20 is the most versatile machine on the market. It can handle demanding and complex machining tasks from the aerospace, automotive, engineering and plastics industries. Its outstanding flexibility makes it the perfect fit for contract manufacturers.
The M50 MILLTURN and the M80X MILLTURN are also available for live demonstrations. The last WFL machine mentioned is key because of the enormous range of variants in the well-known extensive WFL modular system.
